平素より九州電力キューデンヴォルテクスへ温かいご声援をいただき、誠にありがとうございます。
2026年8月7日に逝去されたサイモニ・ヴニランギ選手につきまして、日本国内において関係者によるお別れの会を執り行いました。
その後、サイモニ選手はご遺族とともに母国フィジーへ帰国され、現地においても葬儀が営まれましたことを、謹んでご報告申し上げます。

ファンの皆様へ
このたびのお別れの会は、会場の規模および日程の都合により、ファンの皆様へ広くご案内することがかなわず、直接お別れをしていただく機会を設けることができませんでした。
ご参列をお望みくださっていた皆様には、心よりお詫び申し上げます。
皆様がサイモニ選手に寄せてくださった温かいご声援と深い慈しみのお気持ちは、必ずご本人とご遺族に届いていると信じております。

ご支援をいただいた皆様へ
ご遺族が日本に滞在されていた間、深い悲しみと不安のなかにあったご遺族に対し、福岡地域の皆様、フィジーコミュニティの皆様、そして日本のラグビーコミュニティの皆様から、多大なるご支援と温かいお心遣いを賜りました。
皆様の深いご理解とお力添えに、クラブ一同、心より御礼申し上げます。
サイモニ選手が日本のラグビーに真摯に向き合い、ひたむきに打ち込んでくれたその姿に深く感謝するとともに、改めて故人のご冥福を心よりお祈り申し上げます。
 



Saimoni Vunilagi returning to his home country

We sincerely thank you for your continued warm support of Kyushu Electric Power Company Kyuden Voltex.

We wish to formally announce that following the passing of Saimoni Vunilagi on August 7 2026, a memorial service was held in Japan for those closely associated with him. 
Subsequently Saimoni returned to his home country of Fiji with his family where a funeral service was also conducted.

To fans:
Due to venue capacity and scheduling constraints we were unable to invite the general public to the memorial service or provide an opportunity for fans to bid him a personal farewell. 
We offer our deepest apologies to those who wished to attend. We trust that the warm encouragement and deep affection you held for Saimoni have reached both him and his family.

To all who offered support:
While his family was in Japan—a time of profound grief and uncertainty—they received immense support and warm consideration from the people of the Fukuoka region, the Fijian community, and the Japanese rugby community. 
The entire club extends its heartfelt gratitude for your deep understanding and assistance.
We remain deeply grateful for the sincerity and dedication Saimoni brought to rugby in Japan and we once again offer our sincere prayers for the repose of his soul.
