Well I awoke for breakfast around 7:30 and was very excited abut playing my first game in nearly 6 months after my knee operation.
I had been doing a lot of rehabilitation with the Kyuden Medical team and was confident, and a little nervous, about getting back onto the field and playing in the kyuden colours again.
The bus trip to the ground was interesting as we passed through Nara and I saw a few shrines and temples I had only read about.
Once at the ground the tension was building inside of me as the game was getting closer and closer.
A really good warm up and as I was taking the kick-off ,I was involved straight away and enjoyed playing again with the other kyuden boys.
I only played 50 minutes and was happy with my contribution to the team even though I did not do that much on the field it was great to be playing again.
The team played OK and won comfortably so all in all it was a great day.
A team dinner followed and a plane trip to Fukuoka, and I was home to watch Australia play Fiji in the Rugby World Cup. They won too. A good day all round!!!
Cheers,
Nathan.
